Donald Trump's Easter
It's Passover too, Donald.
Trump has gotten big into religion ever since his reportedly staged assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania. But, to him, there's only one religion, and that's Christianity. But, forget about the Catholics. It's all about being a Protestant. First, the video he made, followed by a transcription with my notations.

“This Holy Week, I'm proud to join with Christians across the country and around the world to celebrate the most glorious miracle in all of time, the resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. In his life, Christ displayed true humility. In his death, he modeled true love.”
There wasn't much humility when he kicked over the money changers' and dove sellers’ tables in the temple. And remember, Jesus was Jewish. It's Passover, too.
”And in his resurrection from the tomb, he proved that even death itself will not silence those who place their trust in Almighty God. As it says in Gospel of John, for God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, for whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. Eternal life, such beautiful words.”
Well, Donald, you're not getting that eternal life, except, I guess you do get it when you're in the seven circles of hell. You've made the United States a living hell for all of us. You should get it too.

In the spirit of joy and renewal this Easter, we also celebrate the extraordinary resurrection of faith and religion in America. As I have often said, to be a great nation, you must have religion and you must have God.”
Evil and wickedness will not prevail. Just wait for the midterms and Democrats taking over. It's impeachment for sure. Your evil, wickedness, and corruption are beyond compare. Religion should not have anything to do with whether a country is great or not. “… you must have God.” No you don't. The founding fathers said that no religion should be recognized as the one above all else. They created a separation between church and state. There's nothing about being an atheist or an agnostic that prevents you from being a good citizen of the United States.
”In churches across the nation on Sunday, the pews will be fuller, younger, and more faithful than they have at any time in many, many years. Religion is growing again in our country for the first time in decades. Happy Easter to all.”
Yes, there are more young white men attending church than before the pandemic. On the whole, though, it's not anymore than before the pandemic. It's just that the white Christian nationalists are more vocal than before. Their version of Christianity, however, has very little to do with Christ's teachings. Just saying you're a Christian doesn't make it so.

The country would be doing well if Trump had never been elected. Looking through the past 50 years, Republicans screw up the economy and get us into wars. Then the Democrats fix the economy and end the wars. Then it repeats. There have been many books written about whether Trump is the Antichrist. Him surviving the assassination attempt is one of the signs. There's many more examples and he tries to fulfill still more everyday.

You're not welcome. Your version of religion is oppressive and is used as a weapon. It's not Christianity. Christianity isn't mega churches run by people like Paula White, who steals from the flock to line her own purse. So, of course, Trump had to name her the head of the White House Office of Faith. So far, all of the laying on of hands in the Oval Office has not cast out the demon that is in Donald Trump.
Trump even had to use Good Friday to pump himself up.
Sure, the trade deficit has shrunk because no one wants to do business with us anymore. The tariffs have cut off trade. It's nothing to be happy about. There's more to the story of the jobs report than just the numbers.
This morning, Trump went bloodthirsty. Hardly a trait taught by Jesus Christ.
Trump wants to make it a holy war against the Iranians. Tomorrow I predict he will say, “Happy Easter to all the radical left lunatics and activist judges and all the Democrats who hate our country. May you rot in hell.” Yes, that would fit the mold for what he does on holidays, especially Thanksgiving and Christmas. Nobody needs to egg him on. He'll do it all by himself.
